Note 1: Digital Outputs (DO)
: The device provides digital outputs in three modalities: standard, high-speed, and NO/NC configurable.
The total number of digital outputs is defined as:
Total DO = Standard DO + High-speed & Duty DO
The NO/NC option does not represent an additional quantity; it is a configuration attribute applicable to a digital output (within the standard DO category) and is therefore included in the total DO above.
Note 2: Digital Inputs (DI)
: The device provides digital inputs in three categories: standard, independent, and coil supervision.
The total number of digital inputs is defined as:
Total DI = Standard DI + Independent DI
.
The coil supervision DI do not represent an additional quantity; they are implemented using three standard DI and are therefore included within the standard DI count.
When selecting the number of I/Os, bear in mind that it must be consistent with the
type of enclosure
selected (1/3, 1/2 or 1 19" rack enclosure/chassis).
